Amber Heard’s lawyer Elaine Charlson Bredehoft recently announced her client’s plans to appeal. Aquaman actor has decided to be appealing the verdict of a jury that she mocked her former husband Johnny Depp when she claimed she had survived domestic violence.
In the last week, a jury of seven in Virginia decided that Heard insulted his fellow Pirates of the Caribbean star and gave the actor $10.35 million in damages.
The jury also ruled that Heard was mocked, and awarded her $2 million.
Elaine Bredehoft, one of Heard’s lawyers, was interviewed on NBC‘s Today show about whether her client is capable of paying for the services the bill, she responded: “Oh no, absolutely not.”
The lawyer also said Amber Heard wants to appeal the verdict, and “has some excellent grounds for it.”
According to the reports on social media, Heard is reportedly not anxious about the amount she owes her ex-husband as she believes she can be successful in her appeal.
According to the US Weekly, an insider’s report said she is “100% appealing” to the freedspeechpeech’ and has been telling her friends that she will go up to Supreme Court if she has to do this.
